Missouri Task Force 1’s Terry Cassil says he had one person ask him what took so long, after she was rescued in the floods caused by Hurricane Harvey in Houston. But he says the vast majority were grateful.
“They’re shell-shocked. This is the most stressful time, hopefully, they’ll ever have in their lives. And how nice they are always just amazes me.”
The task force rescued more than a hundred people in southeast Texas. Most of that deployment returned to Boone County on Sept. 6.
