You might watch your state lawmaker yawn his way through the veto session. Jefferson City’s Jay Barnes doesn’t think you’ll see a repeat of the veto overrides thrown at Governor Jay Nixon.
“We’re going to have the opposite this year,” Barnes said. I don’t foresee any bill, any override vote even, taking place. There are two bills I know of that were vetoed.”
Nixon has the distinction of being the most over-ridden Governor in Missouri history. Barnes doesn’t expect either of Governor Greitens’ vetoes will be overturned.
