The sixth-largest employer in Columbia/Boone County plans to conduct a national search to replace its chief medical officer.
Columbia-based Boone Health has announced that chief medical officer Dr. Robin Blount will retire in January. She has been with Boone Health for 38 years. Dr. Blunt says her 38 years with Boone Health have been a gift and an honor.
Boone Health is the sixth-largest employer in Columbia/Boone County, according to 2024 statistics from Columbia Regional Economic Development Incorporated (REDI). It has 1,581 employees.
