Columbia city council OKs $670K sidewalk project

Columbia city council members voted Monday night to approve construction of a new eight-foot $670,000 sidewalk on St. Charles Road between Clark Lane and Demarte Drive on the city’s northeast side. The vote was 4-1 with 2nd ward council member Lisa Meyer casting the dissenting vote. The project includes a flashing pedestrian signal at Golf Blvd. near the city’s Lake of the Woods golf course.
