Columbia College president to step down Dec. 1

The president of Columbia College is stepping down.

The school said Wednesday Dr. Scott Dalrymple will leave the college on Dec. 1. He says he will go back to his native New York, where some of his family members need help during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dalrymple’s wife, Dr. Tina Dalrymple, who is the chair of the school’s nursing and health sciences program, is also resigning.

Board of Trustees chairman Dr. David Russell will serve as interim president. Dalrymple has been president since 2014.
