VIDEO: Early morning fight lands four in jail

UPDATE (4:08 p.m. Monday): Columbia police have released a minute of body-camera footage of officers arresting Spencer Ervin. Our news partner ABC17 obtained cell phone video from someone who was on the scene, and that video showed police pushing a woman to the ground and deploying pepper spray.

Columbia police say the only body-cam footage they’re releasing is the one-minute clip from the same time frame as ABC17’s video. The department says the woman who was pushed was blocking officers from arresting Ervin.

Officers say Ervin had just fired a gun right before the start of the video clip that has been released. You can watch ABC17’s video here. The police video is available below.

ORIGINAL STORY: Four people were arrested after a fight broke out in the parking lot of the Eagle Stop on N. Providence Rd. in Columbia.

Ervin, Truss, Deshane Griffith, and Shana Deshay McClain were all arrested. Ervin is facing felony charges, while the others are accused of misdemeanors. Police say more arrests are possible.
