A state representative wants the Daniel Boone Regional Library in Columbia to allow guns in the building.
Cheri Toalson Reisch said she had a gun in her purse at a town hall meeting at the library in the beginning of February. Toalson’s attorney, Jennifer Bukowsky, says the library has a sign banning weapons.
“There is not statutory authority for them to ban CCW permit holders from bringing their concealed firearms onto the premises,” Bukowsky said.
The library’s board of trustees had a meeting Thursday night to review its policy about weapons in the building. Reisch and Bukowsky joined The Gary Nolan Show on Wednesday to discuss what they want from the library. You can listen to the interview below:
