Pedestrian hit by car in north Columbia

A pedestrian is badly hurt while walking across a north Columbia road.

The Highway Patrol says Michel Munyantarama was trying to cross Rangeline near Summerville St. and the roundabout by Highway 63 at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday. Tre Yancey’s car hit him.

The 78-year-old pedestrian was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Yancey, a 26-year-old from Moberly, was not hurt.
