UPDATE: Camper found after crash kills pedestrian

UPDATE (Nov. 13, 2017, 5:29 p.m.): Columbia police say they have located the camper that was the subject of the investigation into the crash that killed 34-year-old Rocky Salvador.

Officers say the investigation remains ongoing.

UPDATE (Nov. 12, 2017, 9:59 p.m.): Columbia Police say the pedestrian who died was 34-year-old Rocky Salvador. Investigators believe the image below may be a picture of the camper towed by the vehicle that hit Salvador.

ORIGINAL STORY (Nov. 12, 2017, 10:23 p.m.): Police are looking for a driver who hit and killed a pedestrian, then drove away.

Investigators say a pedestrian was walking along Highway 63 near Route B Saturday night and walked onto the road.

A driver hit the pedestrian and kept driving, according to police. They don’t have a description of the actual vehicle, but it was towing a white 24-foot camper.

Police are asking for anyone who might have seen the accident or have information about the vehicle to call the anonymous CrimeStoppers line at 573-875- TIPS (8477).
