Two Cole County men have been killed in a horrific head-on collision near Russellville.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report says it happened at about 6:45 Tuesday morning on Route C, near Route AA.
Troopers say the crash happened when 35-year-old Loren Nichols of Jefferson City crossed the center line and struck a second vehicle head-on. The Patrol says Nichols and the second driver, 39-year-old Richard Dippold of Russellville, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Patrol’s major crash team investigated the collision.
