1-year-old drowns in private Pettis Co. pond

A one-year-old drowned in a private pond in Pettis County.

The Highway Patrol says the little boy walked away from a residence on Tatum Loop south of Sedalia near Highway 65 at about noon Thursday.

He was found in the pond. Life-saving measures could not revive him.
