Dennis Gates’ Tigers end their season with a 22-12 record. The Tigers could not stop Drake star Bennett Stirtz, who is from the Kansas City suburb of Liberty. Stirtz finished with 21 points. Drake also had 15 points from Tavion Banks, who is from Kansas City.

Mizzou was led by Caleb Grill, who started the game and scored 14 points. The Tiger offense had scored at least 80 points in ten straight games, but they struggled to score against the nation’s best defensive team. Mizzou entered the game ranked ninth nationally in scoring offense.

Drake improves to 31-3. They’re coached by Ben McCollum, who won four national titles at Northwest Missouri State. Drake won the Missouri Valley Conference title.
