12 Mizzou football players out for opener due to COVID-19

Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz said Wednesday 12 players are not in practice due to COVID-19 issues.

We are less than two weeks away from the season opener against Alabama on Sept. 26, so those guys will not be able to play.

Drinkwitz also said a couple reserves, defensive tackle Chris Daniels and wideout Maurice Massey, have opted out of this season.
