Look for heavy traffic around Mizzou Arena in Columbia Friday night and Saturday because of graduation ceremonies in mid-Missouri’s largest district.

Columbia Public Schools (CPS) says more than 1,400 students will participate in high school graduation ceremonies today and Saturday. CPS’ Michelle Baumstark says Douglass high school’s graduation is this morning at 10 at Missouri Theatre, with 62 students graduating. Battle’s graduation is tonight at 7 at Mizzou Arena, with 403 graduates. Rock Bridge’s 482 graduates will walk across the stage Saturday morning at 11 at Mizzou Arena, and Hickman’s graduation is tomorrow at 5 pm at Mizzou Arena, with 475 students graduating.
These students have earned about $15-million in scholarships collectively, according to Baumstark.
