Confirmed coronavirus cases in Missouri take another sizable jump.
The state reported another 493 cases Friday, the second largest increase on record. Health officials say most of those numbers involve cases in southwest Missouri. Eight more people have died from COVID-19 in Missouri, for a total of 990.
Boone County officials confirmed another 15 coronavirus positives Friday, which is three off the daily record.
Cole County confirmed three more cases.
