19-year old shot and killed in east Columbia

A 19-year old is dead after a shooting in east Columbia.

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies said Dennis Darks of Columbia was shot while sitting in a car on Santa Barbara Drive near Highway WW just after midnight Friday. Investigators also reported damage to a home in the area.

Darks was pronounced dead at a hospital. There is no info on suspects yet.
