Court documents obtained by 939 the Eagle show that Boone County prosecutors have 20 state witnesses in the hazing case against two former fraternity members at Mizzou in Columbia.

A Boone County grand jury indicted the two suspects for felony hazing for the October incident that left Danny Santulli blind and unable to walk.

The names or initials of the 20 witnesses are included in a two-page indictment against Thomas Shultz of Chesterfield and Ryan Delanty of Ballwin, with seven of the 20 identified by initials only. Shultz and Delanty have both been indicted for felony hazing, and Shultz is also accused of tampering with physical evidence. The indictment alleges that Shultz concealed text messages to impact the investigation into hazing.

Shultz’s attorney, Brent Haden, has filed a motion for his client to be released on his own recognizance. Delanty’s attorney, Stephanie Howlett of Clayton, has filed a motion to suppress statements in the case.
