Fulton firefighters say the Missouri state fire marshal’s office is now investigating Monday night’s blaze that caused extensive damage to the Total Health and Rehabilitation Center on South Business 54.

No injuries are reported. The blaze started at about 9 pm, and Fulton firefighters requested the North Callaway Fire Protection District for mutual-aid. Fulton fire chief Kevin Coffelt says fire crews began an aggressive interior fire attack and had to leave the building, due to the roof’s weakening.

Fulton fire officials say 26 firefighters battled the blaze, which took about three hours to extinguish.

Fulton’s Total Health and Rehabilitation Center has posted a message on its Facebook page. It reads, “Thank you everyone who reached out. We are all devastated by the fire. Our hearts are broken but we could use some positive thoughts and prayers. We love you all!!”
