Officials from City of Columbia Utilities invite you to attend this month’s dedication event to celebrate the completion of the $31-million McBaine water treatment plant.

The celebration is set for Monday October 26 at 2:30 at the plant, which is on West Route K. Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe and Utilities director Erin Keys will speak. A ribbon-cutting will also take place and tours will be offered.

The project was funded by the voter-approved 2018 water ballot initiative. City of Columbia Utilities says the $31-million McBaine water treatment plant project restored the plant’s capacity to treat 32-million gallons of water each day.

There is limited parking available at the treatment plant. You can ride a shuttle on the 26th that will pick you up and bring you back to the Katy trail McBaine trailhead parking lot.
