4 people arrested for robbery, shots fired over marijuana

COLE COUNTY, Mo. – The Cole County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a robbery leads to shots fired in a home in the 5600 block of Scherr Drive.

Deputies responded to the home Wednesday at about 11 p.m. to investigate a weapons offense.

When they arrived, they found that the front door of the home had been forced open. They recovered several shell casings. In all, deputies said they found evidence that more than five shots had been fired inside and outside the home. No one was hurt.

Law enforcement later determined the home had been targeted for a robbery over marijuana.

All four were arrested on charges of robbery and armed criminal action. They have been transported to the Cole County Jail pending formal charges.
