Charges brought in Clark Lane shooting

A Columbia man was charged with second-degree murder Tuesday in the gunfight Friday near the White Castle restaurant on Clark Lane. Antione L. Armstrong is accused of firing the shots that killed 56-year-old Louis W. Hart of Columbia. Armstrong was also hit by gunfire and taken to the hospital. A third person, 20-year-old Jayden McGerald of Columbia was shot in the leg during the exchange. She was charged Monday with evidence tampering for allegedly trying to hide Armstrong’s gun.
