Additional prosecution witnesses testify in trial involving murder of Montgomery County snake breeder

A jury heard from more prosecution witnesses on Tuesday in the trial of a Jefferson City man charged with killing a mid-Missouri snake breeder.

Michael Humphrey is charged with first degree murder for the 2017 death of Montgomery County’s Ben Renick, who was shot to death at his farm. Renick’s wife, Lynlee Renick, is also charged with murder and will go on trial in December.

ABC-17 News reports the prosecution called Ashley Shaw to the stand on Tuesday: she was a co-worker of Lynlee. KMIZ reports she allegedly helped in the plan to kill Ben Renick. Shaw is a prosecution witness.
