Columbia Regional Airport (COU) is expected to be busy again for Friday morning’s first Allegiant Airlines flight to Destin-Fort Walton Beach. The plane is scheduled to depart at 9:56 am.
Allegiant launched service at COU this week with its first flight to Orlando Sanford. Columbia city manager De’Carlon Seewood and other city leaders are excited about the new service. COU manager Michael Parks will be on the first flight to Destin.
Some mid-Missourians will be enjoying lunch today (Friday) at the famous Back Porch Seafood and Oyster House in Destin, Florida. Destin is known for its sugar white sand beaches and world-class golf courses.
