The American Red Cross of Central and Northern Missouri encourages Columbia-area residents to donate blood on Tuesday, saying there’s an ongoing national blood crisis.

The Red Cross plans two blood drives in Columbia today, saying the blood supply remains under severe pressure with back-to-school schedules and people enjoying final summer plans.
You can donate blood Tuesday from 10:30 to 3:30 at University Hospital in Columbia, or from noon to 6:45 at the blood donation center on Columbia’s South Providence.
