It looks like the City of Columbia has a new Fire Chief.
On Friday, City Manager John Glascock announced Andy Woody would take over the chief position.
Woody is currently the fire chief in Searcy, Arkansas.
He has more than 22 years of experience and will begin serving Columbia on January 13th.
The fire chief position was previously held by Randy White, who retired on October 4th.
Woody’s starting salary will be $126,000.
