Armed robbery in Jefferson City

Jefferson City police say a man stole cash and phones from a Verizon store at gunpoint Friday afternoon.

Officers say the armed robbery happened shortly after 3 p.m. at the Verizon store on Missouri Boulevard.

After the man with the gun took the phones and money, he apparently left the store.

Police say the man is a 6’2″ black man who was wearing fake hair, a reflective safety vest over a black shirt, carrying a pistol, and left the area in a grey Dodge Caravan. Detectives are asking you to call 659-TIPS if you saw anything.
