Arrest made after man found dead in Boone County

A man is facing murder charges as part of a homicide investigation north of Columbia.

Boone County authorities found the body of Anthony Lockwood, 39, on W. Sycamore Hills Rd. on Saturday night.

Sunday, BCSD announced David Myers (pictured), 44, was in jail on charges of second degree murder and armed criminal action.

Investigators say Lockwood died when Myers used a pole or stick to beat him to death.
