Arrest made in connection with Columbia car rental burglaries

Police make an arrest tied to burglaries at a Columbia car rental place.

Zachary Bradley, 23, has a $50,000 bond after a court appearance on Wednesday.

Police say Bradley tried to drive away from them on Tuesday afternoon on Ballenger Lane. Authorities caught him after he stopped the car and tried to run near Hinkson Creek Rd.

Investigators say Bradley was driving a car stolen from the Hertz Car Rental store on Rangeline. He also allegedly had a key fob for another car on him, a silver Nissan Sentra, stolen from there. A 2019 white Jeep Cherokee, Texas license plate LTV8616, is also missing.

CPD says investigators do not think Bradley acted alone.
