Boone County clerk Brianna Lennon is projecting a 15 percent voter turnout for Tuesday’s election. Her office is open for absentee voting today, and it will be open tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 am to 1 pm for absentee voting as well. Columbia voters will be electing a new mayor, two Columbia school board seats are up for grabs and CPS voters will be casting ballots on an $80-million bond issue.
