The Boone County Fire Protection District credits MU Health Care personnel and Boonville Police for their quick work in helping to deliver a healthy baby in the back of an ambulance on I-70 in Columbia during Thursday morning’s winter storm. It all started in Boonville, when Boonville Police officer Clinton Barger was called to transport a mother in labor, along with her husband. Officer Barger requested an intercept with an ambulance at Boone County fire station 9.
