A retired Navy SEAL and former Lee’s Summit Police SWAT team officer says he’s running for Congress to try to save America. Lee’s Summit Republican Bill Irwin joined us live on 939 the Eagle’s “Wake Up Columbia” to outline his platform, which includes veteran issues. Mr. Irwin says 22 veterans a day are committing suicide, and he’s concerned about PTSD. He’s also focused on small businesses and on family farmers in the sprawling fourth district, which includes Columbia, Moberly, Boonville and Sedalia.
