(AUDIO) MACC using hybrid learning model to start semester

Moberly Area Community College is in “hybrid mode” to start the semester on its campuses. Classes began Aug. 24.

President Jeff Lashley says most students are taking part in lectures online as their teachers deliver them. That could change though.

“If the numbers go in the right direction, and we can become more open, then we can open it up and have the students come in-seat if that’s what they want to do.”

Lashley says some classes will happen in-person, with social distancing.

MACC’s biggest campus by enrollment is the Columbia location on Bus. Loop 70. Dr. Lashley says about 2,000 students are enrolled there.
