Authorities: Boone County murder suspect may be trying to change his appearance

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies have released new photos of murder suspect JT McLean, hoping to show what he may look like if he tries to change his appearance.

The sheriff’s department says all the vehicles owned or registered by McLean have been located, so his mode of travel is unknown. Deputies say McLean has made efforts to disappear and limit his ability to be tracked.

Meantime, ABC-17 News reports newly-released court documents say McLean strangled his girlfriend Allison Abitz and drowned Allison’s daughter Josie in a bathtub.

McLean is charged with two counts of first degree murder. Deputies say he has several aliases, and also goes by the names John McLean, Steven Nagy and Steven McLean.
