Authorities investigate officer-involved shooting in Randolph County

More details come out after a Randolph County deputy shoots a suspect.

The Highway Patrol says the deputy was responding to calls at around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday about someone trying to break into homes in Jacksonville, a small town north of Moberly. That deputy later found the suspect, David Hill, 44. Investigators say when Hill started coming toward the deputy with a knife in a threatening manner, the deputy shot him. Hill later died at the scene.

MSHP is still investigating the shooting.
