Authorities investigate suspicious substance at Mo. Supreme Court

Authorities thought they had another case of a mailed-in dangerous substance at a state office.

They were called to the Missouri Supreme Court building on Wednesday for an envelope containing something suspicious. Jefferson City Fire Chief Jason Turner now says it was detergent, and posed no threat.

Crews were called to the Missouri Senate last spring when an envelope containing rat poison was mailed to a senator’s office.
