Governor Greitens has been touring the state, promoting his plan for tax reform. But can he sell it to members of his own party in the state legislature?
Local Republican Rep. Chuck Basye says it will be tough to find the votes, especially in a year when Greitens is proposing big cuts to higher education funding.
“I know my colleagues are a little concerned about cutting taxes further without offsets, or additional sources of revenue,” Basye tells Missourinet.
One part of the governor’s tax proposal includes a big cut to Missouri’s corporate tax rate.
