BCSD investigates two weekend armed robberies

Boone County authorities are investigating a couple weekend armed robberies at convenience stores.

Deputies say a masked man with a pistol took money from the Little General store on Route K in south Columbia at about 8:37 a.m. Saturday. He ran off. The suspect was described as a black male, wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt, and standing 5’10″ to 6’0″.

An armed man and covering his face with a bandana stole from the Petro Mart on Saint Charles Road in east Columbia at 3:15 a.m. Sunday. He also took the cash and ran without hurting anyone. He was described as 5’8″ to 5’10”, wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap.
