Jefferson City leaders break ground on the Bicentennial Bridge on Monday morning.
The $3.75 million pedestrian and biking bridge links the Missouri Capitol grounds to Adrian’s Island. That 30 acres of parkland will be a passive recreational area.
Construction on the bridge starts in late summer or early fall. It should be open in Aug. 2021.
