Boater killed by anchor on Lake of the Ozarks

The Highway Patrol says an anchor killed a boater on the Lake of the Ozarks.

Craig Gathmann was on the main channel of the lake at about 5 p.m. Wednesday with his anchor still in the water. Troopers say, because of the tension in the rope, it shot out of the water and hit him.

The 55-year-old Mainto, Illinois man died at a hospital a couple hours later.
