Boone County clerk reminds voters to bring a valid ID with them to polls on Tuesday

Voter turnout for Tuesday’s election may exceed Boone County Clerk Brianna Lennon’s original projection of 15 percent.

Ms. Lennon tells 939 the Eagle that more than 1,100 voters have already cast ballots.

“We’ve had about 600 people vote absentee in the office, and we’ve had about 500 people that have returned their absentee ballots. So that’s usually a good predictor … it might be slightly higher,” Lennon says.

Polls in Boone County and across Missouri will be open tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Ms. Lennon reminds voters that they’ll need to bring a valid ID with them to the polls.

“So you bring your driver’s license, lots of folks bring that. You can bring a passport. You can also bring the voter ID card that we mail out to you. You can bring a utility bill or a government check, as long as it’s got your current name and your current address on it,” says Lennon.

Anyone with questions about tomorrow’s election can check the Boone County clerk’s website, or you can call (573) 886-4375.
