Boone County reported another one of its highest daily coronavirus case totals on Sunday, with 85 new positives. That follows Saturday’s record of 131.
Most of the new cases lately continue to be people that are 18-22 years old. On Sunday, 46 were reported as released from isolation, but the number of active cases is up more than that and now sits at 659. Boone County hospitalizations are near the highest level yet, at 46, but still below capacity.
Missouri reported 1,465 new coronavirus cases on Sunday. There were 12 more deaths from COVID-19, for a total of 1,508. The seven-day positive test rate is up to 12.5%.
