Boone County collector Brian McCollum is the elected official who is responsible for collecting current and delinquent property taxes for the county and various political subdivisions within the county that have authorized property tax levies. Collector McCollum has encouraged all taxpayers to pay early to avoid lines and crowds.

You can pay in-person at the collector’s office at the Roger Wilson Government Center in downtown Columbia today and on New Year’s Eve from 8 am to 5 pm. You can also place your payment in the 24-hour drop box near the government center anytime before midnight on December 31. You can also mail it to the collector’s office, but it must have a USPS postmark no later than December 31.

Anyone with questions can call the Boone County collector’s office at (573) 886-4285.
