Boone County releases a plan to distribute the rest of the coronavirus relief money it got from the federal government.
Boone has only spent about $3.447 million of the $21.1 million in CARES Act cash so far. Most of the money will be used by local entities to reimburse expenses that have already come up during the pandemic.
The county commission said in a release on Wednesday it is confident all the money will be given out before the Dec. 30 deadline.
