A lot of voters plan to mail it in next month.
The Boone County Clerk reports at least 7,169 people requested absentee or mail-in ballots for the Aug. 4 primary. There were 1,948 of those requests in Aug. 2016.
We’re still entering absentee & mail-in ballot requests received today by 5pm, but we’re currently at over 7100 requests (including about 500 voters that cast their absentee ballot in person) #trustedinfo2020 pic.twitter.com/ATDcECoRVQ

Voters mailing in their picks who do not have an approved excuse will need to get their ballots notarized.
