Boone County reports two more COVID-19 deaths

Two more COVID-19 patients in Boone County have died, for a total of 123. Health officials said Thursday both patients were older than 80.

Boone reported 99 new coronavirus cases Thursday. Active cases went down a lot, to 723. Hospitalizations went up, to 113. Hospitals in Boone are still operating at “yellow” status, meaning resources are strained and some surgeries are being delayed.

Cole County added 59 new cases Thursday.
