Active coronavirus cases keep falling in Boone County.
There were 33 new cases Tuesday, but another 48 patients were released from isolation, bringing active cases down to 279. Hospitalizations also dropped again, to 66, and are still below capacity.
Active student cases at Mizzou are slightly lower as of Tuesday. There were four new cases, but active cases dropped to 59.
Cole County reported 35 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, but had more recoveries, so active cases fell to 139. The county reported its 15th death from COVID-19 this week.
Active cases are up in Callaway County since Friday. There have been 27 new positives, and active cases are at 101.
The state on Wednesday reported there were 439 new cases on Sunday. Under the new reporting system in the state’s remodeled online dashboard, that number will possibly be revised up in the coming days. Another four people have died from COVID-19 in the state, for a total of 2,236.
