About 16 percent of Boone County’s registered voters cast ballots during Tuesday’s municipal and school board elections, according to numbers from the county clerk’s office.
Boone County has 126,018 registered voters. County clerk Brianna Lennon says 20,581 of them cast ballots on Tuesday. That’s a voter turnout of 16.3 percent. Clerk Lennon had projected a turnout of about 19 percent.
