The sixth-largest employer in Columbia/Boone County has named Dr. Lana Zerrer as Boone Health’s chief medical officer.
Dr. Zerrer will be starting on April 7, succeeding Dr. Robin Blount, who is retiring from Boone after 38 years of service. Boone Health president Brady Dubois praises Dr. Zerrer, saying she brings a significant amount of leadership experience that will enhance what he calls an already strong organization. Dr. Zerrer will join Boone Health, after serving as chief of staff for Columbia’s Truman VA hospital for almost 15 years.
Boone Health currently has about 1,580 employees, according to the latest statistics from Columbia Regional Economic Development Incorporated (REDI).
