Boone Health’s new clinic in mid-Missouri’s Glasgow will be gamechanger, Dubois predicts

Columbia-based Boone Health has opened a new clinic this week in mid-Missouri’s Glasgow, which is about 40 miles northwest of Columbia.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Wednesday in the rural town, which has 1,100 residents. The clinic opened on Monday. Boone Health president Brady Dubois spoke at the ceremony and he’s told 939 the Eagle that the new and larger clinic will be a gamechanger for Glasgow.

President Dubois thanks the Boone Health Foundation, which donated $1-million for the new clinic. It doubles the size of the current clinic. The new clinic provides space for an additional provider and has an X-ray suite and the ability for hydration fluids. Patients previously have had to drive 30 to 60 minutes for an X-ray.

President Dubois, Boone Health Foundation president Valerie Ninichuck and Glasgow mayor Donald Clear spoke at Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. Ms. Ninichuck, a local Shelter agent, says the new clinic will help ensure that patients have greater access to high-quality health care close to home for years to come.
