Boone Hospital will wait a few more months before going alone.
The Board of Trustees said on Tuesday it has agreed with BJC HealthCare to push that transition back from Jan. 1 to Apr. 1, 2021. Staffers on both sides have been focusing more on the coronavirus pandemic than the transition, according to the board.
Boone Hospital has been a part of BJC HealthCare for about 30 years. Trustees announced the transition to independence in 2019.
